One fine day, feelings no longer concealed,
The predicament was heard, ‘dare to dream’.
He poured, the ocean of love he had for,
He let go, this was all his but afterwards…
She summoned him, ‘you don’t even know me!’
Explain the travesty, define why you love me?
The spotlight was shoved on him, reluctant,
He beamed, ‘ever wondered, why I breathe?’
Confined to the walls of darkness for a long time,
Your smile intervened, in came the first sight of sunshine.
The sun and moon loved each other in clandestine,
Loving you in secret, even the stars stood by me this time.
There were moments, many steep, hurting falls,
Till you shook my hand, beautiful seemed rainfall.
But irresistible was when you took those tender walks,
I fell in love, while you played with your hair and seemed lost.
There were many failed attempts to get you to talk,
To be your confidant and listen, ‘what you thought of’.
What could have I done, you were a radiant light?
To live and die in your arms, would be a beautiful life.
She was moved but remained silent in her stride, as he said,
‘Hadn’t your every detail spoke, I wouldn’t be a poet overnight!’
