Trains changed their course,
A collision happened there!
A woman had lost her child
Angry mob’s temper flared!
She screamed his name,
Rag-pickers looked everywhere.
Stranded commuters took notice,
A mother-son separated, is an inconsolable affair.
Relentless was the search,
Futility beamed on every head.
Heart skipped a lot of beats,
Despair was the mother’s unlikely friend.
The agonizing pain was made worse,
As tick tock…tick tock, the clock ran.
With dusk approaching,
The mother became hell bent.
Unbroken, she whispered his name,
A final call was made to helm, if he wasn’t dead!
But faith has often moved mountains,
Love has always been the strongest thread.
A prayer was answered,
As she found him alive near the tracks.
She embraced him tightly,
The day of his birth reminisced this heir.
She promised to never let go of him,
A mother challenged, ‘death do not dare’!
Trains could now be channeled,
Normalcy was restored everywhere.
